Birth, Kindergarden & School
Serge Patric Pietsch was born in 1978 as the second child of his parents. Growing up in Urtenen-Schönbühl near Bern, he discovered his passion for creativity at an early age. Already during his school years, he was drawn to the workshops of local carpenters in the village and the Bernese Emmental. There he built the foundation of his craft: precise workmanship, a sense for form, and the joy of shaping spaces and products with his own ideas.
His unconventional approach to school already revealed a mindset of carving out his own path – with humor, passion and a drive to create something new.

“I just wanted to find out where the boundaries were. So far I’ve found there aren’t any. I just wanted to be stopped, and no one will stop me.”
Damien Hirst
